This will mark the first time FOX Sports has offered Thursday Night Football games in 4K Ultra HD quality, the company said in its announcement today. In addition to offering 4K broadcasts through its FOX Sports distributors (DirecTV, Xfinity, etc), the company will also offer the 4K Thursday Night Football games through its FOX Sports and FOX NOW apps.

Assuming a fan wants to stream one of these 4K games, they’ll need a compatible device that supports Ultra HD video: either the Roku Premiere through Ultra models or the Apple TV 4K. It should be noted that the games are produced in FHD HDR and upconverted to 4K HDR.
